Found this over at http://www.jackcheng.com/...

I'll have more to say later about this comparison. BTW, I'm flying down to Silicon Valley today -- anyone want at Apple want to have me over late this evening to chat...?

Nice of him to not compare to that credit card size remote that a bunch of people (myself included have) that's credit card size, eh :-P

seriously tho, this is an apples to oranges comparison

You gonna be in Cupertino on your Silicon Valley? Gimme a call. I'm not with Apple, though.

It's pretty easy to have fewer buttons when your remote and application both do so much less... Seems like a silly comparison to me. Heck you can take away 10 buttons just for no TV channel interaction, 2 more for new quick guide or recorded access needed for WAF... LOL

If you're not clever enough (or too biased/nearsighted?) to get the fact that Steve was/is comparing DESIGN PHILOSOPHIES first and foremost, should probably not bother watching to begin with. Whether or not the functionality of the two is THAT far from each other is a whole different question. Just because something is light-years more complicated (or more a pain in the ass?) to work/get working, is hardly criteria for quality and/or feature-richness (if I can't figure out HOW to do something, where the hell is it a FEATURE?). If e.g. my mom, sister, non-tech friend can work it, they'll buy it. They can work Frontrow... I won't comment on the M$ box...
